How to copy a YouTube video link (phone)
In the YouTube app, open the video or Short. Tap Share, then Copy link. Paste here — links look like youtube.com/watch?v=… or youtu.be/….
For Shorts, Share → Copy link gives a shorts URL; those work the same as long-form links.
How to copy a YouTube link (desktop)
Open the video in your browser. Select the full URL in the address bar (Ctrl+L, then Ctrl+C) and paste into the downloader field.
Playlists: paste a single video URL, not the playlist tab, for best results.
YouTube Shorts, live and age-restricted content
Shorts URLs (youtube.com/shorts/…) are supported like standard watch pages when the clip is public.
Some live streams or age-restricted videos may need you to be logged in on YouTube itself; our tool only sees what a standard extract can read from the URL you paste.
